“Welcome back!  How was your vacation?  Are you well rested and ready to go?”  “Fine” and “yes” could be one’s responses to these questions, but what do we do with the later when we think to ourselves, “Yes, I’m ready to go on another vacation!”

Are you “ready to go” in the ministry and mission of our church?  Some of us will be and others are not so sure.  This is not unusual.  Some are looking forward to going back to school or off to college, some are not.  What do we do about the church?  Here are some simple things to help you get back with a fresh spring in your step and with a joy-filled heart!

Get involved at your own pace.  God will show you the way.  Pray.  It is okay to say “NO”.

Enjoy the music, “sharing the good news”, the sermon and the fellowship.  Are you ready to sing in the choir?

Take advantage of the following opportunities as you get back to the rhythms of your life:

·         Church School for all ages begins on Sunday, September 12

·         Church Picnic, Sunday, September 12, Fellowship Hall (this is a change!), following Back Door Church

·         Mission Tour ’10 Presentation, Sunday, October 3, pot luck, 6 p.m., Fellowship Hall

·         Adult Retreat informational meeting, Sunday, October 3, 12:30 p.m., Fellowship Hall (The Adult Retreat will be held at the Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center, Rehoboth Beach, DE, January 14-17, 2011)

Welcome back!

Peace,

       TOM
